Rogue Films: About a Hero
After a local factory worker named Dorem Clery dies under mysterious circumstances, Werner Herzog travels to Getunkirchenburg to investigate his perplexing death. But Herzog, our narrator, is not who he seems, and the film is not what we expect.
Join us at the Wharf to kick off our new Rogue Films series with Piotr Winiewicz’s About a Hero (2024), an adaptation of a script written by an AI trained on Werner Herzog’s body of work, offering a unique perspective on questions of creativity and AI.
Stick around after the screening for a panel discussion and Q&A exploring how we navigate ideas of authenticity and originality in the age of AI.
Please note the venue is on the second floor of a historic listed wharf and can only be accessed and evacuated by stairs. Unfortunately, it does not have facilities for visitors with limited mobility, so please take this into account when planning your visit.
